The name of the recalled product is Little Experimenter children’s globes. The fun devices can be used to teach children all about the world. Unfortunately, there are some serious problems on this planet.

“The globe’s internal wires can short out and overheat, posing fire and burn hazards,” According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

“This recall involves children’s Little Experimenter 3-in-1 World globes. The globes show the different countries in different colors, and the oceans with blue text for each country, as well as the capitals, deserts, and ocean names. They have an orange base and two buttons in white that light up the globe, displaying a projection of constellations and stars in color-changing motion. On the base of this Globe is printed Little Experimenter. According to reports, Date Code 102018107 is printed on a sticker on battery compartment cover and on product packaging right below UPC or barcode.”

All customers affected by the recall will be offered a free replacement. There were approximately 3,000 globes produced.
