After being sentenced to five years in prison, Pooh Shiesty sent a message to his fans.
Shiesty was sentenced at 5 years and 3 months for his involvement in an October 2020 shooting outside a Florida Hotel.
“THE BIGGEST.. “I JUST WANNA THANK ALL OF MY LOVE ONES & SUPPORTERS & FANS FOR HOLDING DOWN DURING THESE HARD TIMES,” he wrote. “I WISHI COULD BE COMINGG HOMETO YALL TODAY, BUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN WAYYYYY WORSE, YALL THINK I WILL BE BACK SOONER! BUT MEANTIME NEW MUSIC DROPPING NEXT WEEK , BLRRRD!!!”
Bradford Cohen, Shiesty’s lawyer, said he was pleased by the sentence.
“The federal sentencing guidelines had him at a high level of 107 months. However, the government agreed not to seek any more than 97 months. [and]He told PEOPLE that we had argued that the guidelines hadn’t been applied properly and asked for 63 months. “The judge agreed after a two hour hearing in the matter.”
“We are pleased that Lontrell took all the evidence into consideration. We look forward to Lontrell’s successful career in future.”
