One of the most famous figures to emerge from the Parkland school shooting is David Hogg. He is a student who has become an activist for anti-gun policy in America.
His outspoken views have made him a target for a lot of people who share opinions that contradict his. Sadly, things have just taken a turn for the worst in David's life.
According to reports, police just surrounded Hogg's home in a "swatting" prank. The prank has gone viral recently. It involves someone calling the police and reporting a hostage situation at a given location. The location is unaware of the call.
This time, the target was Hogg's home.
"Police surrounded the Florida home of Parkland shooting survivor and anti-gun activist David Hogg Tuesday, because someone placed a phony 911 call in a prank called 'swatting.' The hoaxster told Broward Sheriff’s Office there was a hostage situation at the home, according to WPLG.
Luckily, Hogg was not injured in the attack prank. He is in Washington D.C. with his mother to accept the RFK Human Rights award and was not home at the time.
