A mysterious story is making news across the Pacific Northwest after a former Disney star was reported as missing. According to reports, one of the original Mouseketeers has been gone for quite some time and his family is very worried.

Dennis Day, one of the original Disney Mouseketeers from the 1950s, is the missing man. In a strange turn of events, officials have revealed that he has been missing for the past six months! Now, police are speaking out about the investigation and revealing more news to the public.

"Lt. Jeff Price from the Phoenix, Oregon police department confirmed to PEOPLE that Day is currently a missing person. 'I initiated the case on July 27 of 2018,' Price said. 'As of today, with the help of the Oregon State Police, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, National Missing and Unidentified Person System, and numerous friends and family, the case remains open with no leads as to Dennis’s whereabouts,'" wrote People.

Officials also announced that they had found his car near the Oregon Coast. However, Dennis was nowhere to be found.

“There was no evidence of a crime there, there was no evidence of a crime in the car,” Price told KOBI-TV.

The original missing person report was filed back in July by Dennis' husband, Ernie Caswell. He reportedly suffers from "age-related memory loss" according to officials.Dennis' family says they didn't even know he was missing until they saw his face appear on a missing person report! Needless to say, they were shocked and worried.

“Ernie was in the hospital at that time, and he realized Dennis hadn’t come to visit him in a few weeks,” Day’s sister, Nelda Adkins, told NBC. “So he had someone from the hospital call the police and report Dennis as missing.”

The last time anyone has seen Dennis was when he reportedly went to visit some friends. He never returned.

"Day, who was a Mouseketeer from 1955 to 1957 when the show ended, is described as being 5-feet, 7-inches tall with gray/brown hair, weighing about 150 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call (888) 960-6450," reported Fox.

Please join us in praying for his family and for search teams across the region! We pray he is found safe and alive!

"It's a nightmare of a case," Price told USA Today. "He just up and left, and we have no idea what direction he went or if he left voluntarily or not."
