Police have recently released new details about the arrest of Tiger Woods. Woods was arrested over the weekend at 3 a.m. for driving under the influence in Jupiter, Florida.
The professional golfer has now spoken out about the arrest and says alcohol wasn't to blame. Tiger also issued a statement about the arrest. He believes that the incident is simply the result of an unexpected reaction to prescription medication.
"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly," he wrote.
Police say they found Woods in his car and asleep. The first officer on scene reported seeing his car stopped at the intersection with both front tires flat.
