Abducted 14-Year-Old Girl Rescued Much Closer to Home Than Expected

December 21, 2017Dec 21, 2017

14-year-old Nicole Lynn Hall has been found after an Amber Alert was issued for her following her disappearance from a Super 8 motel in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Authorities had asked for the public's help after she went missing Monday night after meeting 27-year-old Christopher Shawn Rider, a convicted sex offender. After not finding her by Wednesday night, police suspected the two — along with 21-year-old Charles Robert Kraftt — had left the state and were possibly headed for California or Florida.

But according to the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department, they didn't go very far. The three were found around 9 p.m. Eastern Thursday night in the same county Nicole was abducted in. The Sheriff's Department and a U.S. Marshal discovered them in the Noala area only 20 miles away from the Lewisburg Super 8. Nicole's condition has not been released, but authorities said she was found safe.

Rider was arrested for "failure to register as a sex offender and parole violation." Kraft was arrested "on charges of aiding and abetting in the abduction of a child." More charges are expected to come. Further details of the rescue have not been released.

Authorities are thanking the public for the many tips that helped them find Nicole. She has been successfully reunited with her family. Thank you, as well, for praying for her rescue.

Police are scrambling to find a 14-year-old girl who they believe has been abducted by an armed and dangerous convicted sex offender. And they’re asking the public for help.

According to WHSV, Nicole Lynn Hall disappeared Monday morning from a Super 8 Motel in Lewisburg, West Virginia, about 75 miles northwest of Lynchburg, Virginia. She is believed to be in the company of 27-year-old Christopher Rider and, possibly, 21-year-old Charles Krafft.

Police are convinced Nicole is in extreme danger and issued an Amber Alert Wednesday night after failing to locate her. Rider is a sex offender and parole absconder.

Nicole, Rider, and Krafft may be headed across country to Florida or California. They may be traveling in a silver sedan. No further vehicle description has been provided.

Nicole has been described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall with blond hair and brown eyes. She is 104 pounds. Rider is 5-feet, 10 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. His weight was not provided, but in photos he appears to be fairly thin.

A description of Krafft has not been provided, but photos of him posted by the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department on Facebook show a man who looks older than average for 21 and has a light brown beard and a faint mustache. He appears to have a piercing in his left ear and has multiple tattoos on his upper arms and chest.

“If you have any information as to the whereabouts of these individuals or the type of vehicle they may be traveling in, please contact Sgt. Gary Workman of the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department by contacting the Greenbrier County 911 Center at (304) 647-7911,” the Sheriff’s Department asked.

They added, “If you come into contact with these individuals please contact your local law enforcement agency and do not attempt to approach or apprehend these subjects.”

Please keep an eye out for these three people and share this story so the word can get out. And please pray that they can be found before any harm comes to Nicole! In other news, a baby girl who was the subject of another Amber Alert has just been found.
