Explosion Occurs at Florida Mall Over 4th of July Weekend, At Least 23 People Injured: ‘Loudest Boom’

A great tragedy was miraculously averted after dozens of people survived a massive gas explosion in Plantation, Florida. The explosion occurred at a local shopping mall over the 4th of July weekend.

At least 23 people, including one child, were injured in the incident, confirmed CNN. The injured individuals were transported to local hospitals. Fortunately, the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Also, No deaths were immediately reported. 

One witness described the incident in detail, "We felt the loudest boom that you could possibly feel. I looked in my rear view mirror and it was just a dust cloud. Had we walked out of that gym 15 seconds later, I would've been getting my kids in the car when it went off. I probably wouldn't be here, my kids wouldn't be here."

"It's just unbelievable," another witness added. "We just cry and cry, you know? But, at the same time, we're just so grateful that no one's hurt. This is our baby, where we see our babies."

Crazy video footage showed the aftermath of the mass explosion. Several businesses were destroyed and debris was spotted in nearly every direction of the vicinity. 

As of Saturday evening, the cause of the explosion remains unknown. This story is developing and will be updated if more information is released to the public.
