On Wednesday morning, President Trump’s oldest son Donald Trump Jr. posted a picture of his father kissing an elderly African American woman’s hand. The unidentified woman was looking up at her president with awe during his warm gesture.
“This is who President Donald Trump really is. A leader, caring, loving, and a President for ALL American. Love seeing this. #MAGA,” Trump Jr. wrote.

The photo went viral on Twitter with over 5,000 retweets and more than 16,000 likes. This viral photo comes amidst several jabs at the president, calling him “racist” and a “bigot.” Trump, unfortunately, continued to face harsh criticism for this picture. Critics accused him of staging a photo-op and/or calling the picture "fake news."
On the other hand, many Trump supporters praised the president for his heartwarming gesture. One user shared another photo of the woman leaning against President Trump and holding on to his arm.
The 90-year-old woman, whose name is unknown, was one of the family members of a fallen NYPD officer, detective Miosotis Familia, who Trump honored during National Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15th. A video also captured the special moment the grieving woman cried on Trump’s shoulder before he brought her over to the podium with him.
“I promised I wouldn’t tell you that she’s 90 years old, but you know what? She’s really something, right? You look like 55 maybe, 55. Boy, I’ll tell you what — you get up those stairs better than I did,” the president joked as the woman tearfully reached for his face.
