Prayers Needed: Pastor Whose Wife Was Killed Weeks Ago Goes Missing

January 02, 2019Jan 02, 2019

In November, the devastating news was reported that Jeannot Plessy was killed in a carjacking incident. Jeannot and her husband, David Plessy, both served as pastors.

Three teenagers were arrested in connection to Jeannot's fatal carjacking. Now, weeks after his wife's death, David Plessy has gone missing.

According to New Orleans police, Plessy was last seen at around 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 1. He was seen leaving his residence in the 3600 block of Havana Street.

David's stepdaughter, Nadia Sanchez, spoke out about the troubling news. She said that she hasn't heard from her father since Monday.

Sanchez said, "It's just very out of character for him to not check on his kids, to not keep in touch with me or my sister. It's not like him at all."

According to reports, authorities determined that Plessy was missing on Tuesday after his car was discovered in the 7th Ward under Interstate 10 near Columbus Street and North Claiborne Avenue.

Sanchez noted that her stepfather had visited his late wife's grave on Monday night.

She said, "I don't know what his state of mind was, to be honest with you, when he was there. I think it was a kind of spur-of-the-moment thing. Then when he went, I think it was just a lot harder than he thought it would be."

However, Sanchez noted that at the end of the night on Monday, Plessy seemed to be fine.

She said, "He was talking about being present for trial and he wanted justice for my Mom and he was going to do everything he could to make that happen for her."

Police are asking that anyone with information contacts the NOPD Third District Detectives at 504-658-6030.

Please be praying for David Plessy during this time. Pray that authorities are able to locate him in a timely manner! We will continue to update as more information is revealed. In other, more uplifting recent news, a co-host of "The View" just announced she's expecting twins!
