Passengers were terrified after the engine of an Air France plane, going from Paris to the United States, disintegrated in the sky. The tragedy forced the aircraft into an emergency landing.

The plane, which was flying over the Atlantic Ocean when the tragedy hit, was holding 520 passengers.

It was a normal, peaceful flight for passengers abroad this plane until something unusual happened. Everyone heard a very loud thud and a lot of vibration. This didn't seem to be a normal noise. Luckily, however, nobody was killed in the incident, and the emergy landing seems to have been successful.

According to Mirror, the ground crews were left to pick up pieces from the plane from the runway.

The Mirror reports that the Airbus A380 aircraft, traveling under flight number AF66, was diverted to Canada's Goose Bay airport on its journey from Paris to Los Angeles.

Here are some images of the plane.
