Frozen meals play a big part in the kitchen prep of thousands of families. Some people rely on microwaveable meals for their everyday food needs.
Sadly, a massive recall has just been announced. Now, more than 2 million pounds of frozen entrees are making headlines for a serious reason.
"U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) says Conagra Brands of Russellville, Ark. is recalling 2,094,186 pounds of P. F. Chang’s Home Menu Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice entrees," reported KTUL.
The products were produced between October 1, 2018, and April 11, 2019. They have "establishment number “EST. P-115,” on the bag above the nutritional statement as “P115” along with the best by date."
The products are being recalled due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. Some people may become impacted by the ingredients if they have an allergy to some of the food inside the entrees. The entrees are being described as "frozen, heat treated, not fully cooked and not shelf stable."
At this time, there have been no fatalities related to the ingredient mistake. If you have the entrees you are urged to throw them away or return them to the store where you purchased them. If you have questions concerning the recall you can call 1-800-860-3498.
