The disaster appears to have occurred on a marker run within the boundary lines of the resort. At this time, the identities of those thought to be buried have not been released. Crews are working around the clock to save them.

"The slopes were busier this week because of school breaks. Philippe Magistretti, president of the resort's ski lift company, told the Reuters news agency that the Army was assisting in the search and rescue effort. About 100 rescue workers are on the site, he said to Reuters," wrote Fox News.

At this time, no official confirmation of any deaths has come from the scene. The entire resort is very popular and is located at about 10,000 feet high in the Swiss Alps.
