Olivia Newton John, a famous singer and actress, has just spoken out regarding her health and revealed the latest details in her battle with cancer. The iconic entertainer is best known for starring in "Grease" alongside John Travolta.
Olivia has now revealed that she is still fighting cancer, but it is not as awful as some recent reports have claimed. In 2017, Olivia was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that reportedly spread to her back. A recent report claimed she had only weeks to live.
"After reports began circulating that the singer’s condition had taken a turn for the worse, with claims that her body was 'shutting down' and that she only had 'weeks' to live, Newton-John reassured her fans that she was doing just fine," reported People.
Olivia opened up about her health in a recent social media post. She addressed the rumors by wishing all her friends, family, and fans a healthy New Year.
“Happy New Year, everyone!” a bright and cheery Newton-John happily exclaimed in the clip. “I just want to say the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated, to quote a very famous quote, and I’m doing great and I want to wish all of you the happiest, healthiest 2019 that’s possible.”
“Thank you all for the wonderful love and support for me and for my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness Centre in Melbourne, Australia,” she added.
