The sad news was reported on Wednesday, October 17 that popular guitarist Oli Herbert from the band "All That Remains" had passed away. Oli was only 44-years-old at the time of his death.
Initially, the band posted about the sad news. However, little information had been released regarding the nature of Oli’s death.
They wrote, “We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away. Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and songwriter who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.”
Now, TMZ has revealed some sad information regarding the nature of Oli’s death. According to law enforcement sources, the musician was found dead in a pond near his home in Connecticut.
They reported that Oli was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon and that police were dispatched to his home in Stafford Springs. Later, officials found Oli’s body in a pond.
As of Thursday morning, police said that the death does not appear suspicious. However, a medical examiner will still be conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
Oli’s wife, Beth, took to social media to talk about her husband's sudden passing.
She wrote, “Hello everyone this is Beth, Oli’s widow. Thank you for all the kind thoughts and words. I don’t want to go into what happened until we have a complete picture, but as soon as we do there will be a statement from the family on this page.”
