Now that's sick. Either New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is getting massively funded by Planned Parenthood or he's in step with the Devil: those are the only valid arguments we can think of for why a man would try to bottleneck his state until full-term abortion is passed.
Now, to make clear what full-term abortion is (or 2nd and 3rd trimester abortion), picture a baby in his or her mother's tummy, days from coming out, being brutally killed. That's late-term abortion. It's murder of babies, and that's what Cuomo is fighting for.
With Hillary Clinton by his side, Cuomo made a speech in Manhattan vowing not to sign his state's 2019-2020 budget until the state approves the Reproductive Health Act and the Comprehensive Contraception Coverage Act.
The key point within the healthcare acts Cuomo is fighting for is late-term abortion, for any reason. He dared to invoke God when he shared his fear that a conservative Supreme Court might undo Roe v. Wade. “The Republican senate said, ‘You don’t need a state law codifying Roe v. Wade. No administration would ever roll back Roe v. Wade,’” Cuomo said, shares the Christian Post. “So help me God, this was the conversation.”
The New York State Right to Life group explained what Cuomo's push really means: “As many of you know, the Governor is pushing again for abortion through birth and even after with so-called ‘Reproductive Health Act.’ Now he has an anti-Life Democrat-led Senate to help him get it through,” they warned on Facebook.
“Supporters of RHA claim it merely seeks to update New York’s laws to make them consistent with Roe v. Wade. This claim is false,” the New York State Right to Life policy statement explains. “The changes this bill would make instead would authorize abortion through all nine months, for any reason, with no restrictions.”
Another New Yorker who opposes the move boldly pleaded with her state, “One point of opposition is the heinous legalization of abortion during the second and third trimester of pregnancy through the inclusion of a broad health exception allowing women to abort viable fetuses for essentially any reason; including economic or familial health.” Kelly Brunacini, a member of the Reproductive Health Act is Feminists Choosing Life of New York, continued, “The vast majority of Americans, including in New York, oppose these late-term abortions. As a New Yorker, Democrat and feminist, I can’t help but wonder what history will say about a people who allowed the legalized killing of fully formed human beings for the sake of exerting political dominance.”
Franklin Graham recently wrote a passionate Facebook post decrying the heart-wrenching fact that abortion was the world's (and America's) leading killer last year.
"What was 2018’s leading cause of death? Cancer? Heart disease? Maybe gun violence?" asked Graham. "No, it was abortion—more than 41 MILLION children were killed worldwide last year in what should have been the safety of their mother’s womb. Abortion was also the leading cause of death here in the U.S., to our shame. Shame on the politicians, the advocates, and the providers who promote and allow this genocide to continue. It is my prayer that people will awaken to the heartbreak this is to our Father in Heaven—and should be to us as well."
Whether or not Graham's post was coming out in staunch opposition to Cuomo's threat, we know how the Christian leader would feel about this issue in New York. We pray that God empowers conservatives in New York to bold oppose Cuomo and see him put out of office. Do you agree? Share your thoughts and prayers in the Comments! Thank you!
