On Monday, April 15, one of the most iconic structures in the world caught on fire. Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France almost burned to the ground.
The iconic cathedral and one of the most visited buildings in the world had been under construction for the past few years. Investigators are claiming that a flaw in the construction caused the fire.
Sadly, much of the roof burned off of the building and the spire collapsed. Additionally, there were several elements of internal damage. Thankfully, after the fire concluded after hours of fighting, several important pieces within the cathedral were saved.
As of Tuesday, 30 construction workers had been questioned after officials said that they had a warning about the potential fire.
