A 2-year-old girl named Noelani Robinson had been missing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin since Monday, March 11th. Her sudden disappearance sparked a nationwide AMBER ALERT in hopes of returning her home safely to family.
As previously reported, authorities confirmed the child was abducted by her biological father, 33-year-old Dariaz Higgins. He failed to return her home to her mother, Sierra Robinson, at the scheduled time of their custody arrangement.
Unfortunately, Higgins shot and killed Noelani’s mother before he and his daughter were reported missing. Over the weekend, news broke that Noelani’s body was also discovered on the side of the road in Austin, Minnesota.
According to WTKR, her tiny body was found wrapped in a blanket. Little information was initially provided, but authorities said the death did not happen in the past 24 hours.
Details regarding the condition of the toddler’s body were not given to the public. Autopsy results are expected to be released in upcoming days, which will give more insight into this case.
Higgins is in custody. He faces a number of charges including first-degree intentional homicide, use of a dangerous weapon and first-degree recklessly endangering safety. After the discovery of Noelani, it is likely that additional charges will be added against him.
Please pray for Noelani’s family as they cope with this terrible tragedy. In other recent news, a rock and roll icon is also in need of prayer after suffering a stroke.
