The NFL has been hurt by poor ratings this year after fans fought back against the league. Most people were upset with the way the NFL, and the players, have handled the current “kneeling” situation that’s taking place.

The protests started last year and have carried over to this season. Some people thought they were going to go away, but it appears the protests are gaining more attention than ever.

Now, in what is being called an effort to boost ratings and bring some positive news to the league, sources are revealing who is going to be performing the Super Bowl halftime show. The performance is undoubtedly one of the most watched concerts every year.

According to reports, Justin Timberlake will be headlining the show! Fans were super excited to learn that JT will be rocking the stage this year.

“As of right now,” Us Weekly’s insider said, “it will just be Justin. No surprise performers.”

It also appears that the news of Timberlake’s performance might be a leak. The NFL has not confirmed or denied that he is the headliner, despite the leaked reports.

“No decisions have been made on the performer(s) and we are not going to speculate on particular artists,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in an email to The Washington Post, reiterating the league’s previous statement. “Along with Pepsi, we know that we will put on a spectacular show. When it is time to announce her name we will do it. Or his name. Or their names.”
