During the Christmas season, giving is one of the most special ways to get into the holiday spirit, reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus—and providing us with an opportunity to follow His example. He laid down his life for us, so we ought to lay down our life for others (1 John 3:16).
Two NFL players from the Los Angeles Rams did just that this Christmas.
Wide receiver Tavon Austin and linebacker Robert Quinn teamed up with LA Family Housing to provide a family of 7 with a new home, according to TMZ. The players contributed to fully furnishing the 4-bedroom apartment and even provided a Christmas tree and wrapped presents for the family to open.
The recipient, Shwonna Cox, is a single mother of six children. TMZ reported that the family sadly lost their home and all of their belongings in the recent California wildfires.
One of her son’s had a priceless reaction to their new home, specifically his new bed.
As soon as he walked into the bedroom, his jaw dropped. He then began jumping up and down and screaming with joy!

The LA Rams aren’t the only NFL team getting into the spirit of generosity this holiday season. The Baltimore Ravens also made a heartwarming gesture for hundreds of families in need.
God bless these families in need and the NFL stars for giving back to their community! In other recent news, Ben Carson recently led the Trump Cabinet in a very powerful prayer.
