The fall from grace for ex-NFL star Kellen Winslow Jr. continues. Earlier this month he was arrested on suspicion of burglary. On Thursday, Winslow was arrested again in San Diego, this time for a disturbing list of crimes.
Winslow, 34, last played in the NFL in 2013. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 6thpick of the 1st round in the 2004 draft. Winslow played with the Browns, Buccaneers, Patriots and Jets and made the Pro Bowl with Cleveland in 2007.
Authorities in San Diego confirmed the arrest of the former Tight End. “A warrant was issued this morning for Kellen Winslow II’s arrest and he was taken into custody by San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies Thursday afternoon,” the San Diego District Attorney told TMZ.
Winslow stands accused of a long list of heinous crimes, 9 to be exact, including 2 counts of kidnapping, 2 counts of rape, and 2 counts of residential burglary.
Winslow is set to be arraigned on June 15thand formally charged at that time. The charges could potentially lead to life in prison due to the nature of the crimes.
