Over the weekend, two professional sports stars were arrested outside of a nightclub in Washington. The two players involved in the legal debacle were NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills, 25, and NBA’s Washington Wizards forward Devin Robinson, 24.

The NFL star and NBA player allegedly got into a verbal argument, which eventually led to a physical altercation on the sidewalk outside of a local nightclub. According to NBC News, both pro-sportsmen were taken into custody and charged with disorderly affray (fighting in public).

The altercation landed the basketball player in the hospital. His condition is unknown, but based on reports, it does not appear to be serious.

The Eagles responded to the incident by confirming the team is aware of the situation. NFL officials are in the process of gathering more information, but there has been no word of Mills’ consequences.

Robinson, on the other hand, lost his job almost immediately after the news went public.

"We are aware of the incident this morning involving Devin and are disappointed in his actions. We will not extend him a qualifying offer for the 2019-20 season," his former team said in a statement.

It is unclear what caused the argument. Please stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
