There's sad news for renowned foreign correspondent and CNN host Christiane Amanpour.
According to the Post, the divorce is amicable. The two will reportedly remain close friends.
Their romance started over "late-night margaritas in Sarajevo." At the time, Amanpour, the chief international correspondent for CNN, was on assignment in Bosnia. Rubin, then the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs, was traveling with Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright.
The couple married in 1998 just outside Rome with the political who's who, including John F. Kennedy Jr., in attendance. They have one child, a son Darius, 18.
Amanpour is living in London where she hosts CNN’s global affairs show "Amanpour." She's also taken over Charlie Rose's PBS slot after he was accused of sexual misconduct. Rubin recently moved to Washington D.C. where he's writing as consulting for a lobbying firm.
This is such a sad parting after twenty years. Please pray for them and their son.
