President Trump Weighs In After Horrible Plane Crash On NYC Building

Some horrible news was reported on Monday, June 10th out of New York City. A helicopter crashed into a building resulting in one death.

The crash took place on the roof of a midtown Manhattan building. According to CNN, the crash sparked a fire. Sadly, the pilot passed away in the crash.

The helicopter was only 11 minutes away from its departure point when it crashed on the roof of 787 Seventh Avenue. The pilot was Tim McCormack.

According to reports, it was raining at the time of the incident. Additionally, there were subtle wind conditions.

Several officials took to social media to talk about the crash.

Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed that there was no indication that this was an act of terrorism.

President Trump wrote, “Phenomenal job by our GREAT First Responders who are currently on the scene. THANK YOU for all you do 24/7/365! The Trump Administration stands ready should you need anything at all.”

According to NBC, the building that the crash took place on was an office building.

The airport’s manager, Paul Dudley, said that the pilot was highly experienced. He believes that McCormack probably decided to land on the roof in order to spare people on the ground after realizing that something was faulty in the helicopter. This has not been confirmed.
