New details have just come out concerning the Las Vegas shooting. The shooting took place this past October and tragically took the lives of 58 innocent people.
Now, authorities are announcing that lawyers for the victims are working out how to distribute the estate of Stephen Paddock. New reports show he had an estimated net worth of $5 million.
"In the court hearing, Judge Gloria Sturman asked the victim’s attorneys to help create a plan to regulate claims on the property, the outlet said. She reportedly feared that due to the volume of potential people laying claim to the property, the estate could be reduced to nothing because of costs related to claim lawsuits," according to Fox News.
Attorneys think they will be able to have a plan together by this coming January. Family members have said that Paddock did not leave a will and suggested that it should be handed out to the victim's family members.
“What we wanted is time for all of the lawyers on behalf of the victims to get together to see if we can come up with an alternative mechanism to preserve the assets for the victims,” attorney Craig Eiland said.
