Carmelo AnthonyA Sixers fan was ejected.
Lakers star Carmelo AnthonyDuring a Sixers match last night (Jan. 27), a Sixers fan and I got into a verbal fight. Two fans were therefore expelled from the Wells Fargo Center.
Things heated up when a man allegedly taunted Carmelo by referring to him as “boy” when he repeatedly shouted:
“get in the corner, boy!”
An angry CarmeloHe charged towards the stands to confront him. One of the referees helped the ex-Nuggets player and he told an event staff member that he would remove the troublemakers.
One Caucasian male was seen leaving the arena with another black male.
CarmeloThe following statement was made by a commentator on the subject:
“Some things were said,”
He continued:
“Unacceptable. I’m cool with fans heckling, fans talking trash, cheering for their team, booing the other team, I’m all for that. But when you cross certain lines, as a man, you just, that’s what you’re going to see. That’s what you’re going to get, as you saw there.”

LeBron James
Last Nov. LeBron James, who is also a player for the Lakers had a similar situation with two Pacers fans. Although it’s still unclear what exactly was said, the two attendees were reportedly removed for violating the NBA Fan Code of Conduct. This is the story of the incident. LeBron stated:
“Nothing is uncomfortable for me, but there is a difference between cheering on your home faithful or booing opponents … not wanting your opponents to be successful, and then there are moments where it goes outside the line with gestures and words that shouldn’t be tolerated in our game. From nobody,”
He also added:
“Things I would never say to a fan, and a fan should never say to a player.”
Do you think the fan should’ve faced further consequences? We’d love to hear from you!
