NASCAR Star and His Wife Reveal They've Welcomed a Baby in Joy-Filled Announcement

NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. retired last year to start a new phase of his life: father. Now, that stage has begun. He and his wife, Amy, both announced the birth of their first child.

Amy tweeted Tuesday morning to share their exciting news. She announced that she has given birth to the couple’s first child, a little girl named Isla Rose Earnhardt.

“It feels like a dream,” she wrote. “The best dream ever.”

The racer also tweeted to announce the joyful news. He was clearly over the moon to be a father.

"Everyone was right. It’s a new beginning. Now everything I do will be for her and Amy. So blessed."

According to Fox, Earnhardt said during a recent interview with NASCAR.com that he’s ready to be a father.

“I just can’t wait till she gets here, I can’t wait to meet her,” he said.
