Is this the end for an independent Ukraine? Russian officials threaten to overthrow the democratically elected Ukrainian government, and Russian forces seem to be preparing to take control of Ukrainian defenses. We speak with Nina Potarska, a Ukrainian peace activist who fled Ukraine after Russian troops entered Ukraine on Wednesday. Her 11-year-old daughter was also with her. COVID-19 had to leave. She is participating in CodePink’s international emergency online rally on Saturday to advocate against war and against NATOUkraine membership “I feel that my country now is like a battlefield for all other countries’ ambition,” says Potarska. “We want to be in peace.”
