Music Star Hospitalized After Animal Attack, Nasty Infection

A famous musician has juts been hospitalized. The news comes after he was pictured laying in a hospital bed and getting medical treatment for his hand.

Fans were stunned to learn that Pete Doherty had been attacked by an animal. He reportedly suffered a serious infection as a result of the attack.

"Doherty, 40, was on tour with his band The P--- Madres to promote their debut album 'Peter Doherty & The P--- Madres.' He was previously frontman of the band Libertines. Unfortunately, his life was put on hold after requiring hospitalization to treat an infection stemming from the prick he received when his dogs picked a fight with the hedgehog," wrote Fox.

Pete took to social media to share about the news.

“A picture me in a hospital bed with an infected hedgehog spike wound thank you to the wonderful men and women who work within the NHS. What absolute angels and a million times they deserve our respect and thanks,” the star wrote on Twitter.

According to reports, Pete was out walking his dogs, Zeus and Narco. The trio allegedly encountered a hedgehog and the dogs attacked it. Pete then wrapped his hand in his shirt in order to free the animal from the mouth of one of his dogs.

“Zeus and Narco had the cute wee verminous Shnuffle shuffle Pig of the the Hedge in their gobs and I wrapped my hand in a t-shirt and freed the wee bugger and got a tiny cut.. That was Wednesday night/Thursday morning,” Doherty explained.

In the following days, Pete noticed things weren't right. He went to the hospital and was treated for an infection. The incident could have had a horrible outcome had Pete not gotten medical attention of the infection. He made a joke and said its all part of the "infectious" songs on his new album.
