Music Legend Reveals He Is Going Deaf

Eric Clapton is a world-famous musician. He is known for his incredible guitar skills and world-class performances. Fans across the globe have been listening to him for decades.

However, Clapton has just revealed a bit of sad news. According to a recent interview, Eric says he is losing his hearing.

"The guitar legend explained that he has tinnitus, an affliction that causes constant ringing in the ears and is often caused by loud noise, like amplified rock music. The Who's Pete Townshend also struggles with tinnitus," according to ABC News.

Eric is currently 72 years old. Despite the unfortunate medical condition he is now facing, Clapton has let his fans know he plans to continue working. In the past, Clapton suffered some nerve damage in his hands that limited his guitar playing ability. However, he mentions that "my hands just about work" and he looks forward to getting back to rocking out!

"I'm still going to work. I'm doing a few gigs. I'm going to do a show at London's Hyde Park in July. The only thing I'm concerned with now is being in my 70s and being able to be proficient," he said.

Eric also commented about a new film that has just been released about his life. He said that while the film chronicles a difficult part of his life, he thinks others can learn a lot and become encouraged by the way it ends.

"It's very difficult for me to sit through because it goes on so long about the difficult part of my life, but I think it's important for people to see that there's a happy ending. It's like a redemption concept. If you're gonna…see it, be prepared for a heavy ride," said the rock legend.
