Dianna Barrett was the wife of Murray Barrett, the man driving a bus filled with church members when it was struck head-on by a truck. In that wreck, 13 people died, including Murray.
Now, the family is grieving even more after Dianne was just found dead in her home. It has only been 2 weeks since her husband's passing.
At this time, police say she was alone in the home and they do not expect foul play.
(CORRECTION: Originally we had posted about speculation of suicide. That report was unfounded and inaccurate. We have since learned from Dianne's close friend that she was a devout Christian who loved and served our Father with all she did in her life. We continue to pray for her family during this tragic time and apologize for the error.)
The church has issued the following statement upon learning of her death:
"We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dianne Barrett," the church said in an email to the San Antonio Express-News. "We continue to pray for our Lord's mercy and comfort for our church family members who continue to grieve."
Authorities are still investigating the crash and Jack Dillon Young, the 20-year-old driver who was said to be texting before the wreck. They also discovered prescription drugs and marijuana inside the truck, according to recent reports.
Please help us pray for everyone in this community who has been affected by the crash.
