Only a day after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the exciting news that they're expecting their first child, the Cambridges had more to celebrate. Prince William and Kate Middleton are an uncle and an aunt for the first time.

Pippa Middleton, Kate's younger sister, gave birth Monday afternoon to her first baby. Her representation confirmed that she gave birth to a boy. This is the first first-cousin for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and baby Prince Louis of Cambridge.

"He was born Monday (October 15th) at 1:58 p.m., weighing 8 (pounds) and 9 (ounces)," the representative told USA TODAY. "Everyone is delighted and Mother and baby are doing well."

Pippa, 35, had her baby at St. Mary's Hospital in London in the Lindo Wing. This is the same place where the royal children are born. Her husband was at her side.

Days before giving birth, Pippa and her husband attended Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank's wedding. A heavily pregnant Pippa still looked lovely in a dark green dress at Windsor Castle.

Kate and William couldn't be happier. Kensington Palace released a statement for them after the news, saying they're "thrilled."

The statement read: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James.”

Congratulations to the couple! This is such happy news for the whole family. I bet Prince George and Princess Charlotte can't wait to play with their new cousin.
