More bad news is coming in for Chick-fil-A due to their outspoken Christian values. According to reports, a newly planned restaurant will no longer be opening at the Buffalo Niagra International Airport.

"On Thursday, hospitality management company Delaware North and the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) gave the green light to renovation plans that would have brought the chicken chain to the Western New York air hub, New York Upstate reports," reported Fox News.

The news comes after recent backlash from leftists groups regarding what they say is Chick-fil-A's “anti-LGBTQ rhetoric” and views. This isn't the first time the company has faced condemnation like this or been attacked for being a Christian organization.

Local politicians in the New York area voiced their opinions about the chicken sandwich giant. Assemblyman Sean Ryan spoke out on Twitter about the potential new restaurant.

"I strongly urge the NFTA to reverse this decision,” the Democratic lawmaker wrote online. "I don’t believe the leadership of the NFTA intends to help spread hate and discrimination, but allowing a corporation like Chick-fil-A to do business at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport will help to fund continued divisive anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. New York is a welcoming state that celebrates diversity.”

Fans came to the defense of Chic-fil-A online. Christians across the nation love how Chick-fil-A is not shy about embracing their Christian roots. A spokesperson for the company has now spoken out to clarify their values and assure customers they do not discriminate against any group of people.

“Recent coverage about Chick-fil-A continues to drive an inaccurate narrative about our brand. We do not have a political or social agenda or discriminate against any group. More than 145,000 people from different backgrounds and beliefs represent the Chick-fil-A brand,” a spokesperson told WKBW. “We embrace all people, regardless of religion, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity.”
