Monica, the singer, and Shannon Brown, Shannon’s husband, have officially ended their marital relationship. After nine years of marriage, they are now going their separate ways.
According to TMZ, the couple, who were married in 2010, signed the paperwork on their divorce earlier this month in Atlanta. Since October 2018, speculation has been rife about a split.
However, they appeared on each other’s Instagrams after those rumors. They posted photos of each other on their respective Instagrams, perhaps to silence the rumors.
Monica has not been seen wearing her wedding rings in recent Instagram photos.
The couple have a 5-year-old daughter together, Laiyah. Monica, 38, has two sons from a past relationship with Rocko.
It is not clear if Monica is seeking child support or spousal support from her husband, a basketball player. She requested that the divorce papers be sealed but was denied.
