An AMBER ALERT has been issued for a 7-year-old child after her mother went on a heated rampage at their Tulsa, Oklahoma home. A massive search is underway for the mom — 39-year-old Taheerah Ahmad — and her young daughter Hafza Hailey.
The mom allegedly torched her own home, stabbed her oldest daughter — who is only 11 years old — several times, and then ran away with little Hafza, reported ABC News. Ahmad’s 9-year-old daughter reportedly escaped to a family member’s home amidst the chaos.
Police stated that the 9-year-old child informed them “[her mother] duct-taped their hands and put socks in their mouths” before stabbing the 11-year-old sibling. The police also confirmed that the kitchen was in flames when they arrived at the house.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the oldest sister is in critical condition. The young girl was “stabbed so many times that officers couldn’t count the number of wounds,” a spokesperson confirmed.
The missing child is described as a black female with puffy hair in a ponytail. She was last seen with painted gold bracelets and an ankle-length peach dress. The suspect is a black female with curly black hair and golden highlights.
The two are believed to be traveling in a 2005 black Lexus RX3. It has a paper tag from Hiz n Herz dealership with the license plate number UD-4976, according to missingkids.org.
At this time, there are no leads on where they could be headed. If you need to report a sighting, please call 911 immediately.
Please pray for a full recovery for the 11-year-old and safe return for the 7-year-old. May God bring these young girls peace and comfort during this difficult time.
