'Rocky' actress Brigitte Nielsen is a mom again at age 54. People reported that she has given birth to her fifth child.
On Friday, the actress and her husband Mattia Dessi, who she wed in 2006, welcomed their first daughter. The baby girl is named Frida, and she is their first child together. Nielsen gave birth to the 5 lbs. 9 oz. girl in Los Angeles.
“We are overjoyed to welcome our beautiful daughter into our lives,” the proud parents told People. “It’s been a long road, and so worth it. We’ve never been more in love.”
On Father's Day, Nielsen shared a heartwarming photo of her and her husband. They had their hands on her baby bump.
She captioned it: “You’ll be a great papà ❤ Ti amo 💋 #fathersday #daddy #love#family.”
The star of "Red Sonja" and "Beverly Hills Cop II" has four sons, who are much older than her baby. Her youngest son, Raoul Meyer Jr., is 23 followed by Douglas Meyer, 25, Killian Gastineau, 28, and Julian Winding, 34.
Nielsen only recently announced her fifth pregnancy. She posted the happy news on Instagram and Twitter in late May.
“Family getting larger #me #family #brigittenielsen #babybump,” wrote Nielsen, who is also a model.
In 2008, the Danish-Italian shared that she hoped to have more kids. She got her wish!
Congratulations to the couple on their new baby. Nielsen isn't the only person to welcome a baby this weekend. Chip and Joanna Gaines also announced that they had their baby no. 5.
