Prayers are needed for an infant who disappeared. Police in Indiana are searching for a missing 8-month-old girl who is believed to be in extreme danger, reported local news

The situation that surrounded the disappearance of 8-month-old Amiah Robertson is unclear. Indianapolis police detectives are still investigating.

Amiah is reportedly 23 inches tall and weighs 13 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

According to RTV6, Amiah's mother initially reported the girl missing on Saturday, March 16. At the time, she told police she had not seen Amiah since Thursday.

However, family members did not believe Amiah was in danger. Police have also said detectives were given conflicting stories, which raised concerns for the child's welfare.

Detectives determined on Tuesday that Amiah may be in danger and asked for the public's help to locate her. The Indianapolis ABC station reports a Silver Alert was later issued by Indiana State Police because Amiah's disappearance does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

Authorities also conducted a search warrant at the home where Amiah was first reported missing.
