Migrant Caravan Grows to 4,000 Strong, Faces Toughest Challenge Yet

A massive caravan of migrants is currently headed for the border of the United States. Now, President Trump is issuing a massive warning to all those wishing to illegally enter the country.

"The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately," Trump tweeted Tuesday.

Some estimates have been taken of the large caravan. Some say close to 4,000 people could be heading for the southern border. Patrols in the area are on high alert.

Some of the migrants seem to be joining the caravan under false pretenses. A widespread rumor circulated that they will be given asylum in America and that Mexico would allow them to pass through the country. The caravan originally started near Honduras. Now, they have reached Mexico and are facing their biggest challenge yet.

"The Mexican government has warned migrants participating in the caravan to turn around to avoid detention and deportation, saying they will not be allowed to enter the country as a group," reported The Hill.

It appears to be the end of the road for many of the migrants. Some of them have risked everything they have for the hope that they can illegally make it into the United States.

"Individuals attempting to enter Mexico will need to show a passport and visa, something few migrants have, or apply for refugee status, CBS News reported," wrote The Hill.

Those traveling to America have said they are seeking safety and opportunities. The Central American refugees are said to be fleeing from violence and poverty in their home countries.
