For months, liberals have been wondering if former first lady Michelle Obama will run for office. Now, they have their answer.

While promoting her new memoir, "Becoming," she shut down the speculation that she'll enter politics just like her husband.

In an interview on NBC News’ TODAY, Obama responded firmly to a question on if she’ll ever run: “Absolutely not," reported The Hill.

She explained, “As a woman, you understand where your voice works best, where you want to operate, what space you want to be in."

”I want to serve, I want to do work, I want to be out there, but there’s so many ways to make an impact, politics is just not my thing,” she added.

This isn't the first time that Mrs. Obama has responded to questions about whether she'll run for office. There are many people who would like to see her as the first female president, but she's said no each time.

What do you think of her response? Do you believe that she won't run for political office in the future? Let us know in the comments.
