MGM Issues Statement About Las Vegas Shooting, Raises Questions

October 11, 2017Oct 11, 2017

After the shooting that left 59 people dead, and hundreds more injured, Las Vegas police are still struggling to piece together exactly what lead to the attack. Stephen Paddock has been credited as the lone shooter who ruthlessly gunned down innocent people as they enjoyed the concert.

Now, authorities are issuing reports of the information they have gathered so far. However, some people are disagreeing with their findings and offering questions.

“The casino company that owns the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas is publicly disputing the revised timeline of the Las Vegas shooting issued by police,” according to The Blaze.

“This remains an ongoing investigation with a lot of moving parts. As evidenced by law enforcement briefings over the past week, many facts are still unverified and continue to change as events are under review. We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publically, (sic) and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate,” said the MGM Resorts spokeswoman.

According to reports, Paddock fired 200+ shots into the hallway before he started his attack on the crowd outside. A security guard was injured in that hallway shooting.

Also, Paddock apparently stopped shooting after 10 minutes but didn’t have his room breached for nearly an hour, according to reports. Police are trying to determine why that happened.
