Every year on Valentine’s Day, most people are focused on flowers, chocolate, and their significant other. This year, love was in the air for First Lady Melania Trump as well, even though she wasn’t able to spend the day with President Trump!
Instead, Melania spent her day with a group of children at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. The First Lady spent her day making Valentine’s treats with a group of children patients at the Children’s Inn.
One of the thing that First Lady Melania gets praised for the most as First Lady is her love for children. She is always focusing on the kids around her and every photograph captures the sheer joy that she experiences when she interacts with a young one! Valentine’s Day has proven to be no different.
For the special occasion, Melania wore a stunning blush pink outfit. She wore a blush-colored scoop neck dress, a matching trench coat, and pink high heels.
Melania wrote, “Loved sharing an afternoon with such sweet valentines! Your bravery, strength, and love is amazing. Thank you to @The ChildrensInn and @NIH for the lifesaving work you are doing! #HappyValentinesDay.
Below are some of the photos from the special event:
While the afternoon was spent creating Valentine’s Day cards and treats, Melania also brought her own cards to each of the children. The card that she gave them is shown below:
