Melania Trump Thanks Chelsea Clinton for What She Did for Barron

Yesterday, a Conservative writer criticized Barron Trump, the 11-year old child of President Trump, because he felt like his outfit was too casual for the event he was attending. Ford Springer, of the Daily Caller, remarked that Trump’s youngest son looked “like he was hopping on Air Force One for a trip to the movie theater.”

Chelsea Clinton, a foe of President Trump but a supporter of Barron's privacy, quickly came to his defense. She initially tweeted that the media needed to leave Barron alone so he could have the "private childhood he deserves."

Later, she replied to a now-deleted tweet by the Daily Caller author. She pointed out how ridiculous it is for a grown man to be critiquing the fashion sense of an 11-year-old boy.

"Dear Matty-Barron is A KID. No child should be talked about in the below manner-in real life or online. And for an adult to do so? For shame," wrote the daughter of former President Bill Clinton, who is a mother of two.

Yesterday evening, Melania Trump reached out to thank Clinton for defending her son. She sent out a tweet at around 9 PM ET.

"Thank you @ChelseaClinton - so important to support all of our children in being themselves! #StopChildhoodBullying."
