First lady Melania Trump has been wowing with her fashion choices all week. She wore a stunning black Givenchy cape to meet the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte on Monday. Tuesday afternoon, she had the internet buzzing over her wide-brimmed white hat and skirt suit.
She's done it once again. For the state dinner, she donned a silver, sequin Chanel dress on Tuesday night.
The Chanel haute couture dress is likely an "homage to the country that they are hosting," CNN's Kate Bennett reported.
President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were seen greeting the French President and his wife before heading into the White House for the Trump administration's first state dinner.
The dinner will be in the White House State Dining Room, which can accommodate between 100 and 150 guests. The menu will feature American cuisine with nuances of French influence.
"This is the 14th time the White House has hosted France for a state dinner," reported CNN.

According to various sources, the dress is a custom gown. It's a take on a sequin jumpsuit from Chanel's 2018 Haute Couture Collection.
