First Lady Melania Trump has kept a low profile in the recent weeks and hasn't made a public appearance since before her recent hospital stay. In mid-May, she was in the hospital for five days to treat a benign mass in her kidney.
In true media fashion, rumors regarding her whereabouts began to swirl after she has not been seen since May 10th. Last week, she took to social media to shut down the rumors.
"I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing," she tweeted on May 30. "Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!"
Earlier this week The First Lady's spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, let the public know that Mrs. Trump will not be attending the upcoming G7 summit or the meeting with North Korea's leader in Singapore later in June.
"She will not attend the G7 and there are no plans for her to travel to Singapore at this time," Grisham said.
According to Fox News, "The G7 summit will be held in Quebec on Friday and Saturday. The president plans to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on June 12 in Singapore, the first leaders' summit between two countries that are still formally at war."
