On Tuesday, October 30, President Trump, First Lady Melania, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner all visited Pittsburgh to honor the 11 victims who were killed last weekend at the Tree of Life Synagogue.
The First Couple joined Rabbi Jeffrey Myers and they were able to lay a stone and flower for each of the 11 victims. Additionally, they visited the local hospital where they were able to meet some of the survivors of the attack.
First Lady Melania wrote, "Actions of hate will never win against the strength found in love & faith. Our country grieves alongside the Jewish community & we extend our most heartfelt sympathies to the families & friends of the Tree of Life Synagogue."
President Trump wrote, "Melania and I were treated very nicely yesterday in Pittsburgh. The Office of the President was shown great respect on a very sad & solemn day. We were treated so warmly. Small protest was not seen by us, staged far away. The Fake News stories were just the opposite- Disgraceful!"
