Melania Draws Fire for What She Tweeted to Commemorate 9/11

September 11, 2018Sep 11, 2018

September 11th is a date that Americans will never forget. In 2001, on that very day, Americans suffered a great tragedy when violence came to our shores.

The attacks were the deadliest terrorist attack in history and the deadliest foreign attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor 60 years earlier in 1941.  Nearly 3,000 people died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and it's a day we will always remember somberly.

First Lady Melania Trump took to Twitter to commemorate the day. She shared a photo from a September 11th memorial service from 2017. In the photo, Melania stands next to her husband President Trump as he salutes military guards. The photo was taken outside of the White House.

“#NeverForget 9.11.01,” Melania captioned the photo. On the bottom of the photograph, “We Remember 9.11.01” was also written.

The first lady is catching fire for her post. People are criticizing her for posting a photo of her and her husband rather than a photo that directly relates to 9/11.

Do you think Melania should have chosen a different photo? Let us know in the comments. Also, please join Faith Family America in praying for those who were directly impacted by the 9/11 attacks. God bless and guide our nation!
