September 11th is a date that Americans will never forget. In 2001, on that very day, Americans suffered a great tragedy when violence came to our shores.
The attacks were the deadliest terrorist attack in history and the deadliest foreign attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor 60 years earlier in 1941. Nearly 3,000 people died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and it's a day we will always remember somberly.
To remember the tragic day, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump went to a memorial at for Flight 93. The Flight 93 National Memorial is located at the site of the crash of United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked in the September 11 attacks. It's located in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, about 2 miles north of Shanksville, and 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh
First Lady Melania Trump was fittingly somber in a navy blue trench coat. The stylish jacket was formal without being flashy, perfectly fitting the mood of the event.
She paired the jacket with stiletto heels, and she wore her hair loose.
After the memorial, Melania posted a solemn photo of her and President Trump. Along with the photo, she wrote, "A somber tribute at Flight 93 National Memorial this morning. We honor the many lost at the hands of evil on 9/11. It's a time to remember the strength of this nation & the power that comes from unity, leadership & courage. God Bless this great nation. #NeverForget."
Earlier in the day, Melania was under fire for what she posted about 9/11. People seemed happier with her second post, but of course, some people are never happy.
