Meghan McCain is widely recognized as a political rebel. Despite the fact that the majority of her co-hosts on “The View” are harsh outspoken critics of conservative politics, McCain has no shame in voicing her opposing views.
In one of her recent fire-ups, McCain criticized Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. Omar has repeatedly been accused of anti-Semitism, which McCain agrees that some of her comments regarding Israel were inappropriate.
Amidst the heat, McCain made an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” As Meyers continuously fired at the former Senator’s daughter, she refused to back down from her original comments: “I stand by everything that I've said and if that makes me unpopular in this room or in front of you, so be it."
McCain’s husband since 2017, Ben Domenech, became very defensive over his wife after their interview aired. In a heated Twitter rant, Domenech bashed Meyers referring to him as “awful, untalented, and a perfect definition of a cuck” among other derogatory names. Liberals were infuriated over his remarks.
Following his series of Tweets, Domenech did apologize for some of the verbiages he used. However, he made it clear that he is still standing by his wife and does not agree with the harsh way Meyers treated her on his show.
“I love my wife. I apologize for rage tweeting about how Seth Meyers treated her. I don't like him, I think he's a hack, but I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry to anyone I offended,” McCain’s husband wrote.
