Over the weekend, the Democratic candidate from the 2016 presidential election — Hillary Clinton — came under major heat for her latest comments against President Donald Trump and his supporters. As reported earlier, while traveling in India, Clinton claimed she lost the election because white women caved into “pressure” to vote the same way that the men in their lives did.
Additionally, Clinton accused Trump of running a presidential campaign that catered to "racists and misogynists," negatively targeting people of color and working women.
On a recent segment of “The View,” McCain shot back at Clinton for her outrageous claims against President Trump. She was clearly outraged that Clinton suggested married white women can’t think for themselves.
While the rest of the co-hosts peddled around the problem behind Clinton’s remarks, McCain passionately stated, “[Clinton] ran one of the worst campaigns ever; she didn’t do the kind of ground game in Wisconsin and North Carolina that she should have.”
“At this point, if you can’t stop making this about virtue signaling and race...a lot of it was about poverty, a lot of it was about the economy, a lot of it was just this anti-Washington sentiment, anti-establishment sentiment that we should have seen growing with the Tea Party,” she continued.
“Honestly, I have to tell you — it’s one thing to lose to President Obama; it’s entirely another thing to pull of losing to President Trump and you gotta come up with a better excuse than this,” McCain concluded as she drew applause from the crowd.
Later on the show, she also referred to the Clinton as a “virus in the Democratic Party.” Even liberal co-host Joy Behar agreed that the Clintons should “back off.”
