Meghan McCain Releases New Statement About Her Father, Upcoming Return to 'The View'

Republican Senator John McCain’s family has been dealing with very difficult circumstances since McCain was diagnosed with brain cancer last year. Both McCain’s wife — Cindy — and daughter — Meghan — have opened up about their worries, as well as shared their love and support for the Arizona senator.

Recently, it was revealed that Meghan — the conservative voice on “The View” — would be taking some time off from the show to be with her father. Given her dad’s declining health, she is traveling back and forth between her hometown and the studio more often.

Meghan has been missing from several shows lately. Although the Republican audience misses her input on “The View,” they have also been very understanding of the fact that her father is her top priority right now.

On Friday, May 4th, Meghan released a statement via social media updating her fans on her upcoming return to the show, as well as where she would be over the weekend.

“Going home to Arizona to be with my family,” Meghan said in a statement on Twitter. “Will be back on The View Tuesday.”

Additionally, the senator’s daughter thanked her followers for praying for her family. Given the difficult circumstance, the support of McCain's’ fans “means the world” to her.

“Thank you all again for your prayers, patience, understanding and compassion during this time,” she added. “It means the world to me and my entire family.”
