Meghan McCain isn't holding back when it comes to people criticizing her about her late Father Sen. John McCain. Since her father's passing last August, she has continued to keep his memory alive and routinely honor him.

On Christmas Eve, McCain posted a heartfelt message and a photo of her father on Twitter. It wasn't long before someone criticized her for her actions.

"I love you," she wrote in the tweet. "Merry Christmas, Dad, @SenJohnMcCain — wherever you are."

The critic responded to her tweet saying, "do this in private." McCain was quick to snap back at the troll and re-tweeted them explaining how she is going to continue publicly talking about grief.

"If there’s one thing I’m doing in 2019 it’s to continue to destigmatize talking about grief, death and cancer," Meghan wrote. "My father shared his life in public, I share it in death. To all of you out there missing a loved one tonight - you are not alone. I’m along side you, sending strength."
